Johan began as an artist working in charcoal, but when is mentor suddenly passed away, he switched to photography, taking with him a sense of light, shadow and detail that makes him stand out as a photographer.
It began with ski photography in Chamonix... Swiss watches... fashion... under water… and then as he developed his skills it was clear that Johan is at home in pretty much any environment.
He started in the analog era where an image had to be done on location with no retouch or Photoshop editing, then he went on to expertly embrace the digital revolution and all its possibilities.
All the photos in this gallery are analog
Johan began as an artist working in charcoal,
but when is mentor suddenly passed away, he
switched to photography, taking with him a sense of light,
shadow and detail that makes him stand out as a photographer.
He has honed his skills in the studio but he’s truly an outdoor adventurer that takes his camera with him everywhere. And adventures projects seams to follow him around. Whether He’s fighting of polar bears on Svalbard, ice diving, skinning, mountain climbing or on a more relaxed fly-fishing expedition in Norwegian fjords, they are all his elements.
Lately Johan as gone back to his rotes spending more time outdoor, going on ever more challegning adventures.
If he’s not like a fish in water… he’s catching them.

Concept Developer at Betson
Enjoyable to work with Johan. Deep technical knowledge as a fundament and on top of that an exquisite feel for creating the right effect for the targeted audience. He brings out the required message by constructively challenging and enriching the original idea. Simplifies, captures and reinforces corporate market message. Much more than a photographer. Warm recommendations.
